Bombshell brass & silver Tree of Life Pendant
Beautiful Cambodian pendant handwrought from recycled bombshell brass and silver. What is bombshell brass, you ask? Well, the casings of 155mm artillery shells are bought by Rajana Crafts, a fair trade collective in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from local farmers who find them littering the countryside. Casings are then forged into lovely brass jewelry, cut one-at-a-time by hand in a tiny rooftop studio.
These young silver-workers are turning "Guns to Roses" to assure that the memories of the past civil war and genocide are used to create a wise and peaceful future. Ironically, this is a truly life-affirming piece of jewelry which makes a wonderful gift.
- Recycled munitions brass base with hand-cut sterling silver overlay.
- Approximately 1 inch long, shape and size of each one-of-a-kind pendant differs slightly.
- You choice of 18 or 20 inch black twisted silk cord with silver findings.
